We look for signs of glaucoma during your comprehensive eye exam. Diagnosis and management of this condition often requires utilizing multiple diagnostic tests that we commonly use in our clinic. Treatment is often simple where we use eye drops to decrease eye pressure but can require more advanced surgical care. Macular Degeneration is another common ocular disease that can significantly impact your vision. This condition is more often seen later on in life and we look for signs of this at each comprehensive eye exam. We also are able to utilize advanced diagnostic testing to get a better understanding of what is going on if we see signs of this condition. During early stages of macular degeneration we can monitor things and use vitamins specific to the eyes to prevent progression. If things do progress we are able to coordinate needed care with a retinal specialist to provide more advanced treatments.
